Olive Festival: "Olive Harvest in Boke" will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024

The Boca Olive Growers Society invites its members and olive connoisseurs to the all-day event "Olive Picking in Boca".

This traditional olive festival will take place on Tuesday, October 22, beginning at 9 o'clock in the olive grove of Georgia Iveticha in the village of Prieradi.

The program begins with the gathering of participants at 09:00, and at 10:00 there will be a presentation of equipment and seedlings, after which the olive harvest will begin.

On such holidays, local farmers and olive lovers usually gather to not only harvest, but also exchange experiences. Guests can see the traditional methods of olive harvesting, modern equipment for processing them, as well as taste the fresh olive oil of the new harvest.

Traditionally, the event is accompanied by tasting of local dishes prepared using olive oil, performances by folklore groups and master classes on cooking traditional dishes of Montenegrin cuisine. Experienced olive growers share the secrets of growing olive trees and producing high-quality oil.

The Olive Festival is not only an agricultural event, but also an important cultural event that contributes to the preservation of centuries-old olive growing traditions in the Boka Kotor region.
